Indie giants The Enemy haven’t let off the gas since reforming in 2022. A sold-out reunion tour across the UK almost 40,000 tickets strong, straight into massive festival appearances in 2023 including the likes of TRNSMT, Isle Of Wight and a headline slot at Godiva Festival: all before 2024’s triumphant ‘Indie Til I Die’ tour with The Subways and The Holloways (including shows at O2 Academy Brixton & O2 Victoria Warehouse).
With talk of their fifth studio album in the works, The Enemy announce their 2025 tour in some of the UK’s most exciting live music venues, with special guests to be announced.
Tom Clarke says:
“We've been working long days in the studio recording new material, so we're really excited to get out on the road again. The plan is to experiment with some of the new tunes, maybe different ones on different shows to see how the crowds react and which ones connect with fans, and let that guide the track listing on the record which is nearing completion.”
Andy Hopkins talking about the upcoming tour:
“My favourite part of being in a band is having those nights with the fans where the atmosphere is electric - I think this tour is going to be really special for the 3 of us. It’ll be the first time we’ve been back to some of these cities in a long time, in venues we absolutely love and have been really important to us on the way up - Electric Ballroom was the first venue we ever played in London supporting The Fratellis, I drove us there with all the amps & guitars in my Fiesta!”
Still consisting of their original and only line-up Tom Clarke (vocals/guitar), Andy Hopkins (bass) and Liam Watts (drums) - The Enemy’s 2007 debut album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ made a phenomenal impact: Featuring the Top 10 hits ‘Had Enough’ and ‘Away From Here’, the album debuted at #1 and was certified Platinum. They released two hit records: 2009’s ‘Music For The People’ (#2) and 2012’s ‘Streets In The Sky’ (#9), plus their final album, 2015’s ‘It’s Automatic’, and played shows with the likes of Oasis, The Killers and The Rolling Stones.
